"Absence of malice" means without the intent or desire to cause pain or injury to another person. In journalism, it's publishing personal information that causes inadvertent harm. It's worse when the basis for the release of info is based on a lie. And that's the essence of this week's recommendation Absence of Malice from 1981. There's a nice twisted twist who played who at the end. It doesn't make up for what happen. The movie has a couple of legendary Hollywood stalwarts leading the cast. The lovely little Sally Fields (1), Yep! And the blue eyed legend known as Paul Newman (2). Nice boat...
