I guess for this week I'll do another director. A self-taught writer and director who goes by the name Richard Linklater. He wrote the screenplay and directed Jack Black in Bernie (week 213). He made this 'not so interesting' biopic well worth watching. He did the screenplay for The Newton Boys (1998) and was the writer for Dazed and Confused (1993). Matthew McConaughey stars in both of these which were also directed by Mr. Linklater. For this week I'm recommending a film written by, screenplay by, and directed by Richard Linklater, Last Flag Flying (2017). A very good story about military Brotherhood. In this we have Breaking Bad's own Bryan Cranston and Lawrence Fishburne as the Reverend Mueller the Mauler.
