I have slowly discovered that the 80's maybe the best decade for the young adult/teenager movies. The only other comparable decade would be the 60's with the 'Elvis' and beach films. With that being typed, let's have a Molly Ringwald double feature matinee, plus one. The first one, or second one, is Sixteen Candles, 1984. How would feel if your birthday was forgotten? By your parents? The other recommended film for the week is Pretty in Pink, 1986. What clique did you hang out with in high school? The plus one has a couple of memorable episodes in it. One being the '2 dollar' kid. 'But, I don't have a dime?' The other is the downhill ski racing instructions. The plus one selection is Better Off Dead, 1985. No Molly though. What are we having for dinner?
