In 1897, H. G. Wells published on of his great Science Fiction classics, The Invisible Man. That's not when the movie came out. The documentary about the rocket that landed in the eyeball of the moon (A Trip to the Moon) did not come out till 1902. Adapted from the novel, the movie The Invisible Man (1933) is about a man who becomes mentally disturbed after taken drugs of his own concoction, among other things that happen to him. What would you think would happen? Staring Claude Rains (1) and Gloria Stuart (2), it's the classic sci-fi recommendation for the week.

(1) Lawrence of Arabia, 1962

(2) Old Rose in the Titanic, 1997
