It's time for another Agatha Christie, staring her favorite lead character Hercule Poirot. In this film he is portrayed by Peter Ustinov (1). Monsieur Poirot, Belgian not French, was introduced by Agathe in 1920 and appeared in some 50 of her books thru 1975. In this one, Hercule is trying to enjoy a luxurious trip down the Nile when, you guessed it, someone dies. Jane Birkin, Betty Davis (2) and David Niven (3) are part of this superb cast. Oh, forgot, this week's recommended movie is Death on the Nile, 1978.
