I'm going to recommend a war movie that doesn't include Americans, Germans, Japanese and only a wee bit of some Brits. It's a WWI Aussie fictional tale told around a real world event. Wait? There're two of these. Well, one is a miniseries from 2015. It's about a five and a half hour watch. The movie is a Mel Gibson treat from 1981. Both stories are different enough not to overlap and well worth watching. I changed my mind, I'm going to recommend Gallipoli, both the 1981 film and the 2015 miniseries.
