Canadian born in the 1830's, James Howlett is the protagonist in this week's Sci-Fi trilogy recommendations. His alias is Logan, and this character is a titular antihero in what I'm calling Sci-Fi Neo-Noir film series. Basically, a comic book hero that's more human, and doesn't want to be a hero. Hugh Jackman as the Wolverine has appeared in nine X-Men films. But, I'm only recommending three;
X-Men Origins: Wolverine (2009)
The Wolverine (2013)
Logan (2017)
This would be known as the Wolverine trilogy.
