CCLXXV

How's'about a couple of British military movies from the late 1800's? A time in which the Brits still ruled the world. Well, they thought anyway. Also two films released in the great movie year of 1939. In chronological order, the first one, circa the 1880's in India, is a story about a bhisti (a) who just wants to be a soldier. Gunga Din is roughly based on a poem and a couple of short stories by Rudyard Kipling. The other takes place around 1895 in Egypt and it's a story of some self redemption. Based on the 1902 novel with the same name by A. E. W. Mason, The Four Feathers will be the other selection for this week...
