The British Film Institute voted my next selection the best British film of all time in 1999. In 2011, 'Time Out' magazine polled 150 actors, directors, writers, producers and critics and placed it number 2 on the best ever British film list. Wow, must be good. With the screen legend Orson Wells (1) as part of its cast, The Third Man (1949) is the recommended movie for the week. Also as part of it's cast are Joseph Cotton (2), Alida Valli and Trevor Howard (3). Backdrop is the late 1940's postwar Vienna. Enjoy!
(1) Prince of Foxes, 1949
(2) Gaslight, 1944
(3) The Way Ahead, 1944
