In 1959 Allen Drury published a Pulitzer Prize winning novel about it. Then they adapted a movie based on the novel. They both must be boring. But, with Charles Laughton, Henry Fonda and Walter Pidgeon in the cast, I doubt it. Wait? I've seen it, and it's very good or it wouldn't be the recommendation for this week. Also staring Gene Tierney, Burgess Meredith and a young Betty White, enjoy watching Advise & Consent (1962) with your dinner tonight. Or lunch tomorrow? Or maybe on a rainy day?
