Halfway thru a Year

1939 is the best year for movie releases. 10 of those releases were nominated for the Academy Award list. Gone with the Wind won the award. Six others could have won the award in other years. Goodbye, Mr. Chips and The Wizard of Oz were on that list. The Oz movie maybe the most watch movie ever on TV. Mr. Smith Goes to Washington is on that list and will be the recommended film of the week. Many political pundits did not want this movie released because of what it exposes.
