This week we have another Broadway play turned into a silver screen gem. This film was the first appearance for the 'Dead End Kids'(1). The Kids appeared in the play in 1935 and were brought to Hollywood in 1937 to make the movie, Dead End. Another of the thousands of stories about the city of New York. It's also a Bogart classic. Along with the 'Baby Face' gangster are Claire Trevor and Joel McCrea (2) staring in this week's selection. It did get four Oscar nods, no wins though.
