A 'Down to the Sea' double feature. Two very similar themed fishing adventures. Also staring Lionel Barrymore in both as the Captains. So, a Lionel double matinee. The elder film is a Spencer Tracy (1) classic. One of his best performance. Adapted from the 1897 Rudyard Kipling novel of the same name, from 1937, I'll recommend Captain Courageous. Wait? That's not a fish they caught? The next one stars another Hollywood icon. It's Dean Stockwell in his 14th movie. He's only 13. His first acting credit was in 1945. His last listed on IMDB is 2015. That's a 70 year span. Richard Widmark (2) also stars in the other selection for this week Down to the Sea in Ships from 1949. Yea, it might be time for the Captain to retire...
