I bet most people outside of the UK have never seen much less heard of this week's selections. It's a double feature recommendation weekend. The original film is based on the novel of the same name by Irvine Welsh published in 1993. John Hodge wrote the screenplay and received an Oscar nomination for his efforts. The sequel, which I think is better, came out 21 years later with the same cast playing the same characters. It's not about constables, barristers and aristocrats. It's about the people of Edinburgh, Scotland. I would define the title as 'being obsessed with any one trivial topic'. These movies are Trainspotting (1996) and T2 Trainspotting (2017). We have Ewan McGregor as Renton, Jonny Lee Miller is Sick Boy, Robert Carlyle plays Begbie and Spud is Ewen Bremner...
