Let's make sure we get the correct movie (since there be another film with the same name). This week's selection is the western based on the novel of the same name by Louis L'Amour published in 1973. You don't know Louis L'Amour? You may not be a true fan of the Western Genre. The Quick and the Dead (1987) is this week's recommendation. This one stars Sam Elliott and Kate Capshaw. Elliott also did Conagher (1991) with Kathrine Ross from the 1969 novel. If you want to make it a double matinee. Oh, you want a triple L'Amour feature? Then I suggest Hondo (1953) staring John Wayne and Geraldine Page. It's from the short story 'The Gift of Cochise' 1952. The novel came after the movie. These three Louis L'Amour classics have the same basic theme. Enjoy!
