The next recommended selection of the week comes in two versions. A 1981 150 minute movie version and a three part 260 minute mini series that came out in 1985 and finished in 1987. I prefer the longer one. For this week, Das Boat. It's in German and I did find English dubbed versions. It's about life on a U-Boat during WWII. In 2018 they created a TV series sequel. Not seen it yet...
Other submarine flicks; U-571 (2000) with Matthew McConaughey and Run Silent, Run Deep (1958) with Clark Gable and Burt Lancaster. Both of those are WWII movies. Maybe more modern? Crimson Tide (1995) with Denzel Washington and Gene Hackman. Or an adventure? 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea (week 217) with Kirk Douglas. That is a submarine!
