The western 3:10 to Yuma has been done twice, 50 years apart. It was first published as a short story in 1953 in the 'Dime Western Magazine' as Three-Ten to Yuma. Russell Crowe (1) stars in the 2007 version. And Glenn Ford stars in the 1957 original. It's a good story and that's why they did it again. It's rare when a remake is as good as the original. The '57 release includes Van Heflin. Christian Bale (2) stars in the '07 remake. So, the recommendation for the week? Well? I prefer the '07 remake but they are both good popcorn eating watches...
