Week Number Ninety

Sports movies are few and good sports movies are far between. I don't want to do the 'obvious' film. Most good sport movies are the 'obvious'. That being said, this week is not going to be a fight picture... Baseball! 42 (2013) with Chadwick Boseman in the lead role? I think that would be better titled as The Jackie Robinson Story. Or 61* (2001), the summer of '61 home run battle? Or the 'Black Sox' scandal portrayal Eight Men Out (1988)? How about a Jimmy Stewart film were he portrays Monty Stratton, a former American League All-Star? The Stratton Story (1949) will be the film pick for the week...
