Not done a sci-fi picture yet. So, how 'bouts a Vin Diesel flick where the Riddick (2013) character was introduced. I'm recommending the sci-fi horror film Pitch Black (2000). Hope you're not afraid of the dark? You might be after this one, hehehehe. I also like the fact humans are still being human in the future. Stupid people. The Chronicles of Riddick (2004) completes this little trilogy. There's also a 35 minute animated movie called Dark Fury (2004) that takes place between Pitch Black and The Chronicles of Riddick that can be added to the watch list. I guess that would make this a triple feature plus a small one...
These movies also star two modern sci-fi femme fetales. From Pitch Black, Claudia Black, also from Farscape (1999-2004) fame. And from Riddick the tomboyish Katee Sackoff. She is also Starbuck in Battlestar Galactica (2004-2009). If you haven't seen the Galactica reboot? I suggest watching the first episode, it's named '33', after the miniseries. I bet you get hooked...
