A new world adventure and another Gary Cooper classic. In this one he plays an early American frontiersman with a magic pointer and a talent for throwing knives. This week's epic selection is Unconquered (1947). It's a western frontier tale told around Pontiac's rebellion of 1763. That's western Pennsylvania. Um, watch out for the waterfall, that's not CGI. This frontier adventure also stars Paulette Goddard as Abby the indentured servant, Howard Da Silva as the bitter bidding trader, Ward Bond, Lloyd Bridges and Chief Guyasuta is played by Boris Karloff. The cast also includes Katherine DeMille as Hannah. She happens to be the daughter of the director Cecil B. Demille. Who was criticized by some critics for using to many extras, having to much violence, to much color and for to much sensationalism. That's what makes it worth watching and it did get an Oscar Nomination...
