A film about police escort duty. I'm thinking this would be a good topic for a movie. Not many on this subject are out there. Or, not many that are worth watching. In this blog I have done 3:10 to Yuma (both, week 88). That's a short distance western type of escort. And there's The Last Detail (1973). It's worth watching once. I'm recommending for this week, the Ridley Scott directed Black Rain (1989) staring Michael Douglas. It's a simple duty, escort the accused from New York to Osaka, Japan. What could go wrong? We also have in this one Andy Garcia (1), Kate Capshaw (2), Ken Takakura (3) and in his last performance before his death, Yusaku Matsuda. He is another great actor who left us way to young.
