CXCIX, One Hundred Ninety Nine

Updated: Dec 31, 2021

One being about the art of the five finger discount. Ah, oops, I think he pick the pocket of the wrong person. Based on the ending, maybe not. Pickup on South Street (1953) will be one of the selections for this week. Richard Widmark plays the thief and Jean Peters plays the mark.

"I'll give ya 30 days before I pick ya up with your hand in somebody else's pocket." Capt. Tiger.

"You wanna bet!" Candy...

Thelma Ritter (1) plays Moe, she will break your heart...

"Keep you busy?" Lieutenant.

"I sharpen pencils, do the typing, answer the phone and mind my on business." Kathleen...

It has a couple of Private Detectives playing games with each other and a secretary trying to help her boss. The Dark Corner (1946), if you like 'One liners', it's the movie for you. William Bendix is in it to and plays Stauffer. Don't stand to close to that open window...

"I've never been followed before." Kathleen.

"That's a terrible reflection on American manhood." Galt...

(1) Rear Window, week six...
