I guess it's time for a western. No, not True Grit (1969). This might be the best western ever made. (Not the remake ). A 'must see'. With one of the premier actors of all time, John Wayne. An over actor, but it works. It works for him in all genres. Well? He never did any Sci-Fi films. He is old school, I mean silent movie old school when the actors had to sell the story with their eyes and face. He also plays one of the best drunks ever to appear on the silver screen, Rooster Cogburn. No, Really. They brought the character back for a sequel, Rooster Cogburn (1975) with Katharine Hepburn. A gem of an actress in her on right. This one has one of the better movie endings. She gets in the last word...
The Cowboys (1972) is what I'm recommending for this week. This is a different story with a different type of hero. And Gentlemen? It is a 'tear jerker.' Be careful...
