This week's selection is not a western. It is a Civil War drama, but not about the war. It could be about a church organ, or sleeping in a barn, or harness racing, or just a tamed wild pet goose. Or it could be another great Gary Cooper film. It is another movie directed by the legendary William Wyler (1). In his career he won three Oscars for Best Director. Those films also won Best Picture. Five actors/actresses won Oscars under his direction. Nice resume.
